Yoga Therapy

Veterinarians face one of the highest suicide rates among healthcare professionals—a deeply concerning and complex issue rooted in the unique demands of their profession.

A recent study by the CDC found that U.S. veterinarians are 3.5 times more likely to die by suicide than the general population. Female veterinarians, in particular, face a disproportionate risk.

Yoga therapy offers veterinarians and their teams a structured, supportive way to manage the physical, emotional, and psychological demands of their profession—helping to reduce the risk factors associated with burnout, compassion fatigue, and even suicide.

Yoga therapy doesn’t replace mental health treatment, but it complements it—providing tools to manage daily stress, strengthen emotional resilience, and foster a sense of agency in the face of overwhelming demands. For those in a field defined by compassion, it’s a way to refill the well.
